DFRobot was founded in 2008 by a local community of manufacturers and was one of the first to use open source hardware. We continue to develop innovative, user-friendly hardware and software products that become the building blocks in all kinds of electronic projects and foster a strong learning community around it. After a decade, DFRobot has expanded from open-source hardware to STEM education, manufacturing and other industries. The company’s production lines range from gadgets based around Arduino, LattePanda, Raspberry Pi, micro:bit to comprehensive learning kits for K12 students such as the Boson kit, micro:Maqueen series and Mind Plus.
