What is different from previous generations?

Although WiFi 6 provided 37% faster speeds, the impact was not as great as the 10-fold increase in data rate that WiFi 5 provided. The difference is due to the original intent of the WiFi 6 project, which was to improve efficiency rather than data rates. WiFi 7, on the other hand, is designed for a generation with higher data throughput.

WiFi 7 exploits the full potential of the 6 GHz band and doubles the bandwidth of the last generation. The expansion of the channel width to 320 MHz also enables many more simultaneous transmissions at the highest possible speed.

To meet the growing demands from the increasing number of WiFi devices, APs have further increased the number of antennas and improved spatial multiplexing capabilities. WiFi 7 increases the number of spatial streams from 8 to 16, doubling the theoretical physical transmission rate compared to WiFi 6. With WiFi 7’s 16 streams, every device has enough bandwidth for smooth operation.


Packs 120% data for higher speeds


To further increase the peak rates, WiFi 7 uses a higher-order modulation method: 4096-QAM. This allows each symbol to transmit 12 bits instead of 10 bits, which means 20% higher theoretical transmission rates than with WiFi 6 (1024-QAM). A higher transmission rate gives users greater transmission effficiency. Now you can watch flawless 4K/8K videos, play massive online games without lag, or live stream from your home computer. Fully utilizes every resource


With WiFi 6, each user can only transmit or receive frames on an assigned resource unit (RU), which significantly limits flexibility in spectrum resource planning. To address this issue and further improve spectral efficiency, WiFi 7 allows multiple RUs to be assigned to a single user and RUs* to be combined to increase transmission efficiency.


No unused potential, no congestion

Data Blockade Penetration

Previously, a busy channel meant that the bands could not be fully used. The data could only be sent via the main channel. With Preamble Puncturing, the interference can now be blocked so that more channels are available.

Multi-link operation

Conventional WiFi devices use a single connection for data transmission.
